Since 2004, Three Monkeys has been offering something special to both shoppers and designers in Montreal, constantly developing and evolving on our original concept.

When we opened our doors six years ago, this shop ambitiously started as a store exclusively for independent Montreal designers and artists. Believing firmly in encouraging the local economy and the local community of artists, the Three Monkeys team has been proud to offer the widest selection of Valerie Dumaine, Travis Taddeo, Eve Gravel, and Naked & Famous Denim just to name a few.

These along with other local independent designers have not only consistently produced beautiful clothing, they have produced it locally. At a time when local manufacturers were losing tremendous amounts of business to the growing markets overseas, it was very important to Three Monkeys to encourage those who were creating business locally. We also introduced our own line of T shirts, produced from start to finish in Montreal, featuring Montreal landmarks close to many hearts.

In 2005, the Three Monkeys concept expanded to include independent designers from New York, Toronto, Vancouver and other neighbouring cities.

The challenge inherent in any new venture is to maintain the original concept while meeting the demands of the consumer and the marketplace; in order to give the independent brands a context by which to be presented to the consumer, in 2006 select global brands were added to the mix.

Today, Three Monkeys is an eclectic blend of exclusive brand names and young up and coming designers... keeping our ties close to the artistic community, including musical and graphic as well. Young designers continue to produce original pieces available only at Three Monkeys to compliment their collections. The Three Monkeys team is constantly seeking out new talent and finding innovative ways of expanding our energetic community while offering continued opportunity to the creative minds of Montreal.
