The Inspiration

This season, Ève Gravel celebrates Woman in all her splendor and sensibility. Her muse has quieted down however, still conserving her free spirit and her desire for uniqueness. Sometimes carefree, later mischievous, this modest modern woman issued from the golden generation knows how to seduce with ease and adores to please... within good taste.

The Shape

If Ève Gravel has honored since her beginnings the “femme fatale” yet boyish silhouette so distinctive to her trademark line, this season sees an unveiling of assertive femininity. Key items in this collection include light weight dresses in a straight fit with an emphasized waistline by way of delicate belts, enhanced with pleats and ribbing. Cut in silk, cotton and linen, the Summer 2009 collection calls to mind romanticism and sensuality.

The Color

Ève Gravel embraces the return of warm weather, energizing her classic black and grey palette by introducing pastel colors such as mint, peach, light yellow and ivory. The aquarelle and little heart prints will please the romantics, the rebels will fall for the black and grey stripes and add-on fringes.

Since its launch (this is the designer’s 13th collection), the line has experienced a constant increase in popularity, translating into close to forty points of sale within Canada.
